Enderby Tournament

February 25, 2007

Henry had an amazing time in Enderby despite the pettiness of some hockey parents. My husband grew up playing hockey and foot ball and says I should get used to it. *Sighs* after all he’s only four. But really it’s best just to let these stupid things roll off your back, I’m there so my [...]

Yay! I get to go pick up Justin

February 22, 2007

He wants me to get there by lunch time so he can miss his math class. I don’t want him to miss but I think I will try to be there by then anyways because I’m going to be doing about 8 hrs of driving today and I don’t want to go through Vancouver [...]

A Poem My Kidlets Like~

February 20, 2007

Cats
Cats sleep
Anywhere
Any table
Any chair
Top of piano
Window ledge
In the middle
On the edge
Open drawer
Empty shoe
Any body’s
Lap will do
Fitted in a
Cardboard box
In the cupboard
With your frocks
Anywhere
THEY don’t care
Cats sleep
Anywhere

Ban Dragnet Fishing

February 18, 2007

This news is a bit old but since the Liberal government in BC said this would be the golden decaded of environmentalism I thought I would put this out here.
It’s a step in the right direction, too bad Canada won’t sign up for the ban. I guess Gordo won’t be supporting it either.
The United [...]

Uncle Ben & Kelly Visit

February 17, 2007

First of all I have to say it’s just so awesome to see my brother I don’t get to see him much but every time I do, I just come away from the experience thinking about how awesome he is.
Watching him play with my kids is another very cool thing for me, because all my [...]

Emily Dickinson

1830-86

WILD nights! Wild nights!

Were I with thee,

Wild nights should be

Our luxury!

Futile the winds
5

To a heart in port,—

Done with the compass,

Done with the chart.

Rowing in Eden!

Ah! the sea!
10

Might I but moor

To-night in thee!

A Poem By Robert Louis Stevenson

February 13, 2007

As from the house your mother sees
You playing round the garden trees,
So you may see, if you will look
Through the windows of this book,
Another child, far, far away,
And in another garden, play.
But do not think you can at all,
By knocking on the window, call
That child to hear you. He intent
Is all on his play-business [...]

Painting Makes Me Dizzy

February 12, 2007

We are painting our home a warm toasted cashew colour. It took about two hours to put down the primer which was white. My husband thought that was strange that it was white he says usually it’s kind of light rust colour.
The spots on the wall where I put up samples of the toasted [...]
